When he's not on the chase after rival attackmen and midfielders in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association's A Conference, Calvert Hall senior defender Jeff Gorman is in The Chase, his local Rock and Roll band.

The group "is pretty popular in Baltimore, and has played at the Recher Theatre, The 8 X 10 Club, and Fletcher's," said Gorman's father, Jim, a Severna Park resident whose brother, Steve Gorman, is the drummer for the Rock and Roll band "The Black Crows."

Jeff Gorman, the group's lead guitarist, has "written over 50 songs," said his father.
