With the exception of one year since 1991, DeMatha has had 10 or more or more students receiver football scholarships each year.
This year’s list is as follows:
Raheem Cardwell FB/LB 6’ 220 Prairie View A&M
Tom Chroniger QB/S 6’1 185 Towson
Aaron Conaway RB/DB 5’9 170 Villanova
Pete Desouza OT/DT 6’6 308 Maryland
Patrick Goulden OG/DT 6’3 250 VMI
Jeremiah Mathis TE/DE 6’3 222 Virginia

Emmanuel McPhearson WR/CB 5’10 185 New Mexico
Michael Milburn WR/CB 6’3 192 Delaware
Ikechi Nnawuba OG/DT 6’ 255 NC Central
“It was a good day,” Coach Bill McGregor said. “I’m really happy for the kids and proud of the kids. It’s their day. It’s the culmination of a lot of hard work and determination.”
Chroniger had originally verbally committed to play quarterback at Eastern Michigan. He changed his mind this past weekend after Eastern Michigan switched from a shotgun offense to a pro-style offense that didn't fit Chroniger's style.
Chroniger visited Towson this past weekend and was pleased with what he saw. He was recruited as a quarterback by the Tigers.
“Every class is a great one,” McGregor continued. “I’m just happy for the boys and the kids and happy it worked out for all them.”
SOCCER SIGNS FIVE
Close to being as successful at putting kids in college, DeMatha’s boys soccer program also had five players sign national letters of intent Wednesday.
Stefan Berkeley Goalie 6’2 165 U Conn

Kolawole Kekere-Ekun Def 6’1 150 Clemson
Cody Pearson Def, Mid 6’ 170 York College
