Suzy Rosser, Deep Run Wildcats

Year: Junior   Age: 16

Height: 6-0   Position: Middle/Outside Hitter

Performance: Had 13 kills, six digs, five blocks and four aces to help No. 2 Deep Run over third-ranked Mills Godwin.

On Godwin win: "It was so exciting. We went inot it knowing they would be really good. We just tried our hardest and fought for it. I know Godwin did, too.

Funniest teammate: "Megan Lamantia. She's hilarious. I don't know if I've ever met anyone who doesn't like Megan."

On improvement: "I feel a lot stronger than I did when I first started freshman year. RVC has helped me a lot. I guess I've improved, I can't really tell myself."

One person she'd like to meet: "I want to meet Tyra Banks because she's so inspirational." Would you like to be a model? "No, I just really like Tyra."

One thing most wouldn't know about you: "I'm double jointed in my knees. That's why I screwed up my knee. If I'm on my knees I can bring them out to the side and sit down."

Best trait: "I don't really get nervous, which I guess is good. I don't really get frustrated with myself."

On coach Terra Balla: "She's a good coach and she cares so much about all of our team. She can keep our team together. She's just a good coach."

On leadership: "I try to pick everybody up and happy. I konw my team will get frustrated with themselves and get down on themselves. You just have to help them bring themselves back up."

On college: "Right now I'm just trying to get through history. I'm keeping my options open. I haven't really thought about it much. I guess this is the year to think about it."

What a college coach would get from Rosser: "I really care about my teammates. I respect everybody on the court. I just try to stay even keel. I'm really, really competitive."
