Because of a location change with Glenelg, Hammond's Senior Day happened early this year.  The first Glenelg game of the year was supposed to be at Glenelg, but because of wet conditions and a bus situation, the game was moved to Hammond.  This changed Senior Day to the 4/27 game v. Long Reach.  As temps hit near 90 degrees, the Bear bats were just as hot as they pounded out 15 hits in a 12-2 win.  Senior Jeff Snyder had 3 hits, 2 of which were doubles, Senior Kevin McVicker hit his second HR of the season, and Senior Justin Mann got his first start of the season.  Travis Clark contributed with 3 hits, Tyler Clark hit his 4th HR of the season, Dustin Stout had a double, and Jared Christensen added to his team leading 22 rbi.  Sam Beatty picked up his 3rd win in 3 starts, 2 of which came v. the Lightning.  Beatty also helped himself at the plate with an rbi single.  The Bears will have to be road warriors for the remainder of the season as their last 5 games are away from their home field.
