Second-team All-Metro quarterback Leon Kinnard, a junior, scored his fourth rushing TD of the year and the 15th of his career. Kinnard also threw his third scoring pass of the season, and the 14th of his career in Saturday's 49-7 Loyola blowout of MIAA B Conference foe Boys' Latin.

Terence Garvin scored on TDs runs of 3, 32 and 72 yards; Bobby Kirby caught a 14-yard scoring pass from Kinnard; Vince Snarki and Matt Heacock ran for TDs from two and 20 yards out; and Jeff Timmons converted all seven of his extra point kicks.

The Lakers (0-1) tied the game at 7 after Mark Feild caught a 12-yard pass from Charlie McComas, and Eric Tillman booted the extra point.

The Dons (2-0), coming off a year in which their 10-1 mark established a school-record for victories, routed Gonzaga of D.C., 51-14, last week.

The victoroy was the fifth straight for Loyola, which shared the Maryland Interscholsatic Athletic Association's A Conference title with Gilman and McDonogh last season.
