Fresh off an IAAM B Conference title, Maryvale Prep signaled that it will be a major force in the conference once again, as the Lions rolled past visiting Notre Dame Prep, 6-2, in the non-conference season opener for both teams, yesterday at Maryvale.

Junior Sophia Thomas and senior Emith Noto did most of the damage, as the combined for five goals and three assists, with Thomas registering a hat trick and two assists.

Last fall Maryvale posted a 14-1-3 record with its only loss coming to NDP.  Already that has been avenged in 2007.

Sophomore Kirkland Locey scored both Blazer goals, as she found the nets once in each half.
