Grason Pastirik defeats Kenneth Green, 6-4

Pinning were Alex Rice (103), Gino Pollack (125), Will Selba (152), Edwin Jackson (160) and Karl Green (285), with MIAA and state runner-up Frankie Goodwin (112) and Danny Orem (135) earning technical falls for Mount St. Joseph in a 64-6 MIAA A Conference rout of St. Mary's.

Forfeits went to Benny Schaufle (130), Matt Mullett (171) and R.J. Schmitz (215), with Tyler Irvine (140) earning a decision for the Gaels, who, on Friday travel to defending Baltimore County tri-champion Hereford where they'll face squad featuring three-time public schools state titlist Josh Asper (171).

Perhaps the Gaels' biggest win against the Saints' was Grason Pastirik's 119-pound victory over Ed Peery titlist Kenneth Green, who, last weekend, took only 45 seconds to pin Calvert Hall's returning MIAA tournament placewinner Nik Gialamas.

For the Saints (5-7), the lone winners were private schools state champ Fred Green (145) and Ben Henry (189) by a decision and a major decision, respectively.
