Patuxent's Thomas Philibin made six saves to record his school-record seventh shutout of the year, and the Panthers scored four second-half goals to run past the host Lackey Chargers 5-0 on Tuesday night.
Michael Adams scored the team's initial goal in the first half, but the Panthers really broke out in the second 40 minutes. Tommy Volpe scored twice to open the floodgates, the first off and outlet pass from Brent Milcarzyk and the second off a setup courtesy of Adams and Randy Farrell. Matt Hallenbeck and Randy Farrell later added goals to provide more cushion.
Patuxent (6-4-1, 5-3-1) hosts Calvert Monday in its next action, while Lackey hosts Northern, also on Monday.
