The Severna Park High School baseball team exploded for five runs in the sixth inning which made all the difference in the Falcons' 8-4 victory over Broadneck in a Anne Arundel County game Monday.

Severna Park (13-5) has won five straight as sophomore catcher Alex Ramsay went 3-for-4 with three RBIs. Brent Jones, Adam Senholzi and Dave Turner each chipped in with an RBI.

In the decisive sixth, Eric Schnider led off with a single and pinch hitter Mike Bouchelle doubled to left. A sacrifice fly from Turner tied the game followed by RBI-singles from Ramsay and Senholzi (two hits). Senior Cory Jensen also added two hits.

Severna Park pitcher Pat O’Keefe came in relief in the first and kept the Bruins scoreless over the last four innings.

Broadneck put together 14 hits behind three from Jamie Jennings.
