Junior Sarah Meisenberg, one of top Division III lacrosse players in the country, scored two goals and added an assist for Franklin and Marshall in a 13-6 loss to Hamilton College in the DIII title game on May 18th.  Hamilton jumped out to a 8-2 lead after the first half and the Diplomats never recovered.

Meisenberg (Severn School) helped lead Franklin & Marshall to the championship last season.  She is joined on the Diplomats roster with three St. Paul's SfG grads, goalie Lidia Sanza, and attackers Blake Hargest and Laura Ruppersberger.

Meisenberg was named to her second consecutive Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) First-Team All-Region accolade after posting her best season this year.  She set career highs in goals (44), assists (35), and points (79) with free-position goals (14).  Meisenberg is also a three-time all-Centennial conference selection, scored a point in every game she played in and scored at least three goals on seven occasions.  Meisenberg was also named to the IWLCA First-Team All-American after being named to the second-team honors last spring.

Hargest was named to the second team (IWLCA) All-Metro Region Team. Hargest is making her first appearance on the All-Region Second Team after being named to the All-Centennial Conference second team.  She was second on the team with 47 goals and added 40 assists on the year. Her 40 assists are just one shy of her mark last year, giving her 81 for her career to rank seventh on the program's all-time list.

Ruppersberger, only a freshman, scored 11 goals and added two assists this season.  Sanza, a sophomore, started all 20 games in goal for the Diplomats.  She was named WomensLacrosse.com First-Team All-American, Goalkeeper and Rookie of the Year last season.  She was named Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week this season for the week of March 24-30.

Meisenberg, Sanza, Hargest and Ruppersberger all return next year for Franklin & Marshall.  The Diplomats are hoping to win their second title in three years.
