Towson Catholic gets 18 from Breckenridge in a 63-50 win; Sheppard hits for game-high 22.
Senior guard Vinnie Breckenridge posted 18 points as No. 9 Towson Catholic High boys' basketball team defeated McDonogh School, 63-50, in a MIAA A Conference tilt in Towson Sunday afternoon. Junior forward Leshon Edwards added 16 points for the Owls (6-7, 3-1), who won their second straight decision.
Senior forward Gerrard Sheppard led all scorers with 22 points for McDonogh (8-7, 1-5). The Eagles will continue a four-game road swing Tuesday at No. 8 John Carroll while Towson Catholic travels to Hagerstown for a Baltimore Catholic League match with St. Maria Gorretti. Wednesday, the Owls are at No. 10 and unbeaten Loyola Blakefield.
