Wilde Lake's victory over Centennial set up a meeting of unbeaten Howard County League teams with defending county champ, River Hill, next week.

Wilde Lake received balanced scoring from Jarrell Epps, Ashton Hayes and Vaughn Stamper, and Graham Spicer was successful on all five extra point kicks as the Wildecats won their fourth straight Howard County League contest without a loss, 35-7, over Centennial on Friday night.

Epps (5-foot-7, 160 pounds) rushed for scores of 6 and 8 yards; Hayes (6-1, 205) ran for TDs from 35 and 68 yards away; and Stamper (5-9, 185) scored on a 3-yard run as the Wildecats avenged one of their two losses of a year ago.

The Wildecats next focus on four-time county champ River Hill (4-0), which visits Wilde Lake next Friday.

The Hawks, who blanked the Wildecats, 6-0, last sesaon, have out-scored their opponents by a combined, 184-0.

River Hill is after its fifth straight county title and its fifth consecutive playoff berth, having been Class 3A state runners-up a year ago.

River Hill has been reclassified based on enrollment as a Class 2A school.
