River Hill ran its winning streak against county rivals to 15 straight games, 48-0, over visiting Mount Hebron. Wilde Lake pounded Glenelg, 24-7.

Second-team All-Metro Michael Campanaro rushed for 253 yards and three touchdowns, Malek Redd
covered 107 yards and also scored three times, and All-Metro linebacker-running back Zach Martin
rushed for 148 yards and a touchdown while also leading the defense with 10 tackles and a sack in Friday night's 48-0, River Hill victory over visiting Mount Hebron.


The win was the 14th in the past 15 games for River Hill, last year's Class 3A state runner-up.
The Hawks (1-0), who have been reclassified into the Class 2A, also won at home for the
14th consecutive time.

River Hill raised its Howard County League winning streak to 15 games, and improved to 40-4
against the county since the start of the 2003 season.

Linebacker Andrew Donohue also made 10 tackles, and linebackers Leron Eaddy, Chris Franklin and Jonathan Hill had seven tackles each, with Hill also recovering a fumble.

Defensive end Sean Hull had two sacks and caused a fumble, safety Ryan Griffin had an interception, and kicker Carlos Griffin-Benitez was good on six of seven extra point attempts.
 

Wilde Lake 24, Glenelg 7

Vaughn Stamper and Danny March returned interceptions of 60, and, 106 yards, respectively, and Ashton Hayes scored on a 19-yard run for the Wildecats in Howard County League action Friday night.

Glenelg and Wilde Lake did not play last season But in their last meeting, on Oct. 17, 2005,
Wilde Lake lost, 22-19, at home. Glenelg is coming off of an 8-3 season.
