Friends scored 11 runs over the final two innings of their contest with CHEN, yesterday at Joe Cannon Stadium, to overcome a nine-run deficit and steal a 14-12 non-conference baseball victory, their fourth consecutive win of the season.

Desipite cold and windy conditions, Friends refused to pack it in and they scored six times in the sixth to pull within three, before posting five runs in the seventh to take the lead.

Leadoff hitter Wick Eisenberg started the seventh with a walk and came around to score on consecutive singles by Leland Nislow and Austin Lasky.  Kelly Dayton followed with a walk, to load the bases for Austin Ritter, who promptly stroked a two-run single to tie the game at 12.  Senior Matt Frost loaded the bases again with another walk and the Quakers took the lead, and added an insurance run, thanks to pair of passed balls.

Friends sophomore Matt Vaselkiv got the win in relief, as he game on to pitch a scoreless sixth and seventh, allowing no hits.
