Kelly Dayton and Mike Meshulam hit back-to-back home runs with two outs in the top of seventh, to break a 4-4 tie, and Friends School held on for a 6-4 MIAA B Conference baseball victory over St. Mary's, on Thursday at Corridor Park in Annapolis.

Jerry Donabedian also added a solo blast, in the fifth, and an RBI single, in the first, for the 20th ranked Quakers (10-3, 5-2), who moved within a half game of first place St. Vincent Pallotti in the Black Division of the B Conference.

Wick Eisenberg tossed six strong innings to get the win despite allowing home runs to Chris Ochall (two-run shot in the fourth) and Ed Galligan (a solo blast in the sixth).

One day earlier, Friends defeated Severn, 12-5, on the strength on an 11-run sixth inning.  Meshulam threw a complete game as the club rallied from a late deficit.

St. Mary's (6-8 overall), the defending B Conference champion, fell to 2-5 in the league and it is now tied for fourth-place in the Black Division.
