Traveling to Laurel to face St. Vincent Pallotti, your Junior Quakes took their first steps foward as a team, spreading the opportunities to everyone on the roster.  Frosh Mike Sweet opened the scoring in the 21st minute, assisted by Soph Max Zeger.  One minute later, Frosh Nabil Odulate nodded in a Frosh Jimmy Dendrinos free kick taken outside the penalty area.  Nabil added an another goal minutes later, again assisted by Dendrinos.  Nabil helped cap the scoring just before the halftime interlude with a reciprocal service to Dendrinos, who tucked the ball into the net.

Half time score 4-0

The second half was more of the same, although the team adjusted its tactics to possess the ball as long as possible, while shooting only when clearly presented with an opportunity.  This did not slow the scoring.

After Max Zeger was taken down in the box by a desparate keeper's lunge from behind, Sophomore rookie Jess Rosenstein scored his first goal, and the teams first PK.  Sophomore Jay Orrson followed with two assists in a six minute span, feeding goals by Max Zeger and Frosh Arlen Caplan.  Frosh Jon Kum capped the scoring late in the half, poking home a Frosh Drew Vogelsang pass.

With Sophomore Co-Captain Matt Collins recovering from recent surgery, Frosh Patrick Filbert tended goal for the first 50 minutes, handling the few chances presented.  Frosh Alex Shulick handled several point blank shots during the final 20 minutes to preserve the clean sheet, and the teams first shutout victory of the season.
