Sometimes when you are in the groove, you are in the groove. Kailua pitcher Rob DeMarsh was definately in control of his “stuff” as he threw a 1-hit shut out as his Surfriders defeat Mckinley, 10-0.
The Kailua bats were also very lively generating 8 hits. Jordan Limahai went 2 for 4 with a single and a triple. Catcher Keenan Tanaka had a double with 2 RBI’s. DeMarsh also added to the hit parade with a solo homerun into deep right field in the 6th inning.
The Tigers used 3 pitchers to slow down the Kailua offense. Kurtis Kometani, Cody Reyes, and Brandon Maeda all went to the mound.
