"There was constant ball-movement on offense. It was tight in the first quarter, but we started to separate ourselves in the second quarter and we out-scored them, 7-0, in the third quarter," said coach Josiah Latona, whose Friars led, 11-6, at halftime.

"It was a physical game, and it was wet," said Latona. "It was a tough game, but not too bad."

The win was the Friars 26th straight against the MIAA's B Conference, and their 32nd win in their past 34 games. The Friars were 18-1 a year ago.

The Friars will attempt to win their school's second straight title on Tuesday at Towson University's Johnny Unitas Stadium, where they will face John Carroll (12-2) for the third time this season.

In their last meeting, a 16-6 victory at John Carroll, the Friars got five each in goals and assists to lead the way in what was a surprisingly easy victory.
