LOYOLA WRAPS DUAL-MEET SWIM CROWN
Dons follow National Catholics title with a win over their arch-rivals.

Yesterday the sun rose and, in the afternoon, Loyola clinched another MIAA swimming title with a 110-60 victory over Calvert Hall, which also entered yesterday's meet with an undefeated dual-meet record.
The two arch rivals were both returning from the National Catholic Swimming Championships, which Loyola won last weekend in Philadelphia. The rivalry between Loyola and Calvert Hall is interesting because many of the athletes on each team also play water polo in the fall. In water polo, Calvert Hall has dominated with seven consecutive titles. In swimming, however, Loyola is the dominant program, having captured all but one dual-meet league crown in the MIAA's 12 year history.
Loyola took first place in 10 of the 12 events including all three relays. The meet started with Loyola going 1-3 in the first relay and then 1-2-3 in the 200 free with Hugh Davison first, Evan Danz seconnd and Oliver Bennett third. This made the score 23-7 and Loyola never looked back.

Diving also took place and Loyola junior Manu Motsiopoulos put on a dazzling display of high degree difficulty dives to take first place. Manu was followed by Mike Brown of Calvert Hall and then Nick Dilly and Adam Connor of Loyola.
The diving score did not count towards the total meet score, but is extremely important for national rankings for both schools.
Loyola also remained undefeated on the junior varsity level, with a 95-77 win over the Cardinals.
