Former Calvert Hall swimmer Steven Fulcher, who just completed his senior season at York College (PA), was recently named the 2008 Centennial Athletic Conference Male Swimmer-of-the-Year.  The announcement came earlier this month at the CAC Championships.

Fulcher began his day at the CAC Championships with a second place finish in the 200 backstroke as he traversed the pool in a school-record time of 1:55.48.  He then went on to earn two individual wins (50 free and 100 backstroke) and take part in three relay wins, leading his Spartans to a second-place finish in the team standings.  He is the first swimmer in York history to earn the conference swimmer of the year award.

During Fulcher’s four years in the Spartan pool, York finished with a dual meet mark of 34-5 and a pair of CAC runner-up finishes.
