State champ Tony Mack (160) defeated Baltimore City titlist Sam Johnson, 13-6, teammates Avi Friedman (103) and Cody Rosen-
Stone (140) dominated their three rivals to repeat as regional titlists, and Julio Trujillo (285) earned his crown by pinning all three opponents as Owings Mills won the Class 2A-1A North Regional crown at Lansdowne on Saturday night.
The Eagles, winners of the Class 2A-1A state duals crown a couple of weeks back, also had runner-up efforts from Kevin Dufour (112) and Brad Mutchnik (130), third place finishes from Luke Harris (135), Hasas Edmondson (152) and Ja'Twan Murdock (171), and a fourth place effort from Mitch Barker (145).
Owings Mills totaled 210 points compared to the runner-up Vikings' 140.5.
"We did pretty well. We have 10 guys gong to states," said Pritzker, referring to next weekend's Class 2A-1A tournament at the University of Maryland's Cole Field House. "We had six guys in the finals, and we had a bunch of guys come back and take third. I'm pretty happy with that."
Friedman pinned all three of his opponents, Rosen-Stone had a forfeit, a technical fall and a pin, and Trujillo overcame a 2-0 deficit with his pin of Overlea's Dan Brown.
"I really think we're stepping up and I think everyone wrestled well today," said Friedman, who improved to 34-0. "We have a lot of kids going to states who should do well. I think we're ready. I think we can be a factor."
Led by fourth-place state finisher Earl Eppard (119), who added his second straight regional title to the second straight county crown he won last weekend, host Lansdowne is sending runners-up Marvin Smith (140), Aylante Pitts (145) and Josh Orstein (152), as well as fourth place finishers Nick Payne (112) and Ryan Witt (215) to the state tournament.
Winning titles for Pikesville were Ben Baker (112) and Nick Jensen (215), with Jensen pinning all three of his opponents. Baker remained unbeaten on the year, adding the regional title to last weekend's county crown, which was Baker's second.
Fourth-place state finisher Dustin Peddicord (130) earned his second straight regional crown, bouncing back from a 14-11 loss to fourth-place state finisher, Adeleke Ibironke of Milford Mill in the final of last weekend's county tournament.
Others winning titles were Edmondson's two-time Baltimore City titlist Chance McCree (125), Sparrows Point's Travis Kolstrom (135), New Town's Josh Mann (152), Western Tech's Orion Stephens (171) and City's Darrell Gray (189).
Mann (20-2), a third-year wrestler, avenged a loss of a week ago in the county tournament final opposite Ornstein by winning, 4-2, to become the Titans' first regional titlist.
