Kiyaniah Tilghman was all smiles Saturday after the Baltimore City swimming finals. The Poly senior won the 50- and 500-yard freestyle, and was part of the winning 200 medley and 400 freestyle relay.
Kiyaniah Tilghman made her last Baltimore City swimming championship meet one to remember Saturday afternoon. The Poly High School senior won four events at Johns Hopkins University's O'Connor Recreation Center.

Tilghman placed first in the 50-yard freestyle in 27.03 seconds and 500 freestyle (6:41.18). She joined Sukaina Miftah, Selena Guerrero-Martin and Brittany Boicourt on the winning 200 medley relay (2:04.35), and was on the winning 400 freestyle relay (4:19.93) with Guerrero-Martin (won 100 butterfly and 200 individual medley), Miftah (first in 100 breastroke and 200 freestyle) and Martha Jacobs (won 100 backstroke).

The Cold Spring Lane school won all 11 events en route to its seventh consecutive title. Tilghman, part of four Engineer championship teams, laid credit at the feet of her teammates.

"I don't know what I would've done without them," said Tilghman. "It's not just me, it's a team effort. We did this together."
