The Lions fell behind 2-0 on their way to being downed by the Red Devils. Middletown North beat Hunterdon Central in the sectional final last year.

North II, Group III Final
Freehold 2, Warren Hills 0 - The Colonials won their first sectional title in school history to advance to a Group III semifinal against Demarest on Wednesday at Montclair High School.

Shore Regional, a perennial state power, and Holmdel are the only other Shore Conference team left standing in the state playoffs. The Blue Devils will take on state playoff rival Pingry in the North II, Group I final on Monday at 2 p.m. Holmdel, which already reached the Shore Conference Tournament semifinals for the first time in school history this season, will travel to Allentown on Monday at 2 p.m. for the Central Jersey Group II final in search of its first sectional title.

Central Jersey Group IV final
Hamilton East 1, Toms River South 0
Hamilton East goalie Katie Wood recorded her ninth shutout and helped the Spartans thwart 18 penalty corners by the top-seeded Indians, according to The Trenton Times. It's Hamilton East's first sectional title since 2000.

Central Jersey Group III final
Moorestown 3, Wall 0
The Crimson Knights were blanked by one of the state's top programs, although the Quakers' five losses are the most for the program since 1986, according to the Burlington County Times.
