The players of the week are chosen by performance on the field and level of competition for the week of April 2-7.

Adam Abdulrazaaq

Boys Track

Performance:

Won three events in a five-team meet: 110 hurdles (14.54), 300 hurdles (38.88) and 200 (22.38).

Favorite Event:

"The 400 or the 200."

Fast Fact:

Set to choose between North Carolina, Virginia or VMI. He'll major in business management, with a minor in physical education.

works:
A standout hurdler, Abdulrazaaq has his sights set on an athletic change. "I think the best thing for me is the decathlon. That is a nice change."
 

Janelle McDowell

Girls Track

Vitals:

Year  Senior
Position  Sprinter/ Hurdler
Height  5'7"
Performance: Won five events in a dual meet win over L.C. Bird: long jump (16-6), high jump (5-0), 100 (12.4), 400 relay leadoff (50.6) and 1,600 relay anchor (4:19).
Fast Fact:

McDowell made her mark on the basketball floor, scoring 17 points per game as Prince George won the Central District crown. She earned first-team All-Metro honors for her efforts.
