Coach's Quote:

"Rachel continues to amaze us with her abilities. We have told her in recent years despite her accomplishments that she is capable of much more. She has figured this out this spring and has gone to the next level. Her intensity raises her teammates" performances whenever she is with them at meets or at practice. Her influence on our team will be lasting even after she graduates and heads to Nebraska." " Neil Mathews, Lee-Davis

What about the
socks?:

"A girl in my gym class told me that matching socks are bad luck, so I figured that was pretty good advice." Butler wears different types of colorful socks at every meet. It's a trend that many other track athletes have picked up.

Best Trait:

"I go to practice every day. I do what the coach asks me to do."

Future: Butler is so talented in so many events, many Nebraska coaches are tugging at her. "All of the different coaches have their different ideas. I don't know."
One word that
describes her
personality:

"Quirky."

Favorite Event:

"My favorite running event is the 300 hurdles and my favorite jumping is the triple."
