Heading into this weekend's four semistates, there are still many small and medium schools that are alive and well with hopes of advancing to the ultimate prize in high school sports...a berth in the IHSAA State Finals.

Here are the FINAL rankings of Indiana's premier small and medium school programs.

Five small school girls teams are still alive to run again at this weekend's semistates.  Four of the five will run at New Prairie.  Those four are: Hebron, Northfield, Pioneer and Carroll (Flora).  The other team, Wapahani will run at New Haven

Twenty medium school girls teams are still runing this weekend.  Medium schools taking sectional titles were: Culver Academy, West Lafayette, and Frankton.  Four medium schools took seconds as Western, Crawford County, West Noble, and Gibson Southern were runners-up.  Third place team finishes went to Southmont, Evansville Memorial, Heritage Hills, and Salem.  In fourth were: New Prairie, Tell City,
Indianapolis Chatard, Andrean, Concordia, Pike Central and Brownstown.  Union County and Forest Park had fifth place finishes.
