Here are results from the Feb. 7 individual regional round of the 71st Annual IHSAA State Wrestling Tournament held at Regionals 13-16 (the top four placewinners in each weight class advance to the semistate round Feb. 14), courtesy of ihsaa.org and indianamat.com and broadcastsport.net:
 
13. MOORESVILLE REGIONAL
Martinsville garners a regional-high three individual crowns at Mooresville, home of the upset. In no less than four weight classes are higher-ranked wrestlers felled in their attempt at a title:

•    At 140, Garrett Smith of Cascade wins with a 22-7 technical fall over Greencastle’s Tyler Rickenbaugh, with No. 9 Jerod Crump of Center Grove settling for third.
•    At 152, unranked Ryan Kolb of Tri-West Hendricks pins No. 13 Trey Reese of Indian Creek in the finals, with Mooresville’s 12th-ranked Joey Juliano beating No. 16 Isaiah Alfs of Avon 3-2 for third.
•    At 189, No. 11 Aaron Stevenson of Indian Creek upsets No. 6 Andrew Leach of Avon 3-1 for the title.
•    At 215, Brownsburg’s Adam Howland upsets No. 8 Drew Dorsey of Center Grove 8-3 in the finals, with Greencastle’s Jacob Wright upsetting Franklin’s No. 12 Neal Lane for third.

The two matches featuring ranked wrestlers for a crown went as expected with 130-pound No. 3 Brannigan Barlow of Bloomington South handing Brown County’s No. 7 Quincy Richey his first loss and No. 9 heavyweight Jowan Gill of Columbus North holding off No. 10 Joe Arthur of Bloomington North.

At 125, Mater Dei’s No. 13 Zach Henderson beats No. 12 Blake Reuger of Evansville Reitz 5-0, and the 135-pound races goes 10-9-8 as Evansville Memorial’s No. 10 Zach DeHaven beats No. 9 Adam Weinzapfel of Mater Dei 7-5 for the title while Castle’s eighth-ranked Doug Welch of Castle settles for third.

Failing to advance are No. 12 Evan Weinzapfel of Evansville Mater Dei at 130 and No. 15 Zach Ruggeri of Mount Vernon (Posey) at 215.
