Aspira-Haugan (formerly the Cougars) PITIRRES, celebrate plans to change their Mascot, Aspira launches plans to add Co-Ed Football and Girls Volleyball for the first time in the school''s history. The sports program, under the leadership of Mr. Anthony Mealing (Athletic Director), former draft pick of the NBA Dallas Mavericks and 2008 Teacher of the Year, has established ambitious goals of adding more than (2) new sports per season and enrolling more than 150 Student-Athletes into the sports program. Mr. Mealing has recruited additonal coaches and encourages parent-community participation through sports clinics and conferences. Mr. Mealing adds that the support and guidance of the Principal, Mrs. Garcia-Jones and co-administration of his Asst A.D., Mike Jennings has added value and success to the sports program.
