PLAYER REMINDERS:

*NO PRACTICES ON DAYS SCHOOL IS NOT IN SESSION OR CANCELLED Holidays, Snow Days, etc.

*All participants must turn in a MSHSAA Health Form before they may participate in practices or contests.

*Each player is responsible to wear appropriate shoes, athletic attire, and bring water bottle. No one will be allowed to practice without the proper clothes.

TRANSPORTATION: Parents are responsible for the arrival and departure of their child for each game. No buses will be used in transporting 6th through 8th grade students for basketball games. Games that are scheduled on weekday evenings usually do not start until 6:00pm or later. The Barstow Athletic Department does not allow its coaches to transport students to orvfrom games unless it is an emergency situation.

MISSING PRACTICES: Practices are extremely important. If your child is going to miss a practice for any reason you must notify your coach as early as possible. Students who miss practices are subject to playing less if the coach feels like they have missed vital information in that particular practice. We feel practices are extremely important in a strong athletic program that will benefit all student participants. The Barstow Athletic Department feels strongly that if your child is not there, then they have missed out on these benefits and may not be ready mentally and physically to perform as those who did attend the practice.

PLAYING TIME: Coaches are instructed to give playing time as they wish to each child. The Barstow Athletic Department and its coaches will not discuss playing time of a child with any one other than the student athlete. REMEMBER: With larger teams and various positions, basketball is a very difficult sport to choose substitute patterns that will allow perfectly equal time for all student participants.
