Behind many of the above, there are stories behind the headlines of breaking down and building up. In perhaps the most compelling image, Tim Anderson spoke at Baccalaureate in his baseball uniform at Patterson Stadium via video tape. Between the big regional win against Trinity and the shocker vs. St X the night of the baccalaureate ceremony, Tim taped his message to his fellow students and parents. He shared how he had been tempted in his earlier years to stray to the worlds ways and pleasures. But thanks to encouragement from his parents, teachers, and coaches, all of whom were strong in the Lord, he remained true to his Lord, family and school and became a leader on the football and baseball fields as well as among his fellow students. This is why our students go to CAL and why Proverbs 22:6 is so true; Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.
Grace and Peace!
