DIRECTOR OF TRAINING – WARREN ‘RIP’ JAMISON

Rip has twenty years of experience in developing and implementing effective Training Programs and Systems for franchise companies in multiple industries. Mr. Jamison has developed unique approaches to training, focusing on the need to apply training processes to meet the varying styles of learning that exist in those seeking education in their field. Prior to joining DigitalSports, Rip developed similar programs at national and international chains including Waffle House and Jiffy Lube International.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT - ALEX SAMIOS

Mr. Samios brings over 20 years of franchising to DigitalSports combined with rich entrepreneurial skills, leadership, operations, and marketing knowledge. Prior to joining DigitalSports, Mr. Samios started, built and sold three separate companies, managing a staff of over 1,000 employees. From a national restaurant franchise to a sports media company, Mr. Samios has been successful in developing companies and driving his team and partners to achieving tremendous results. An active outdoor enthusiast, Mr. Samios grew up in Baltimore and graduated from St. Paul’s School for Boys, where he played both lacrosse and soccer. He received his Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Currently he sits on three boards, including two non-profits, is single and resides in Newport Beach, CA.

Scott Stump

Scott Stump worked as sportswriter for the Asbury Park Press (NJ) for 7 years, covering everything from high school sports to the Mets, Yankees, Jets, Giants and Nets as a beat writer and a columnist. Mr. Stump won an Associated Press Sports Editors Honorable Mention Distinction for the Asbury Park Press 2005 High School Football Preview. Mr. Stump was previously a copy writer/editor with Securities Data Publishing in New York, and was involved in planning, proofreading and producing features for a 20-page, bi-weekly newsletter for the financial industry with a targeted, upscale readership. Mr. Stump graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism.

Lem Satterfield

Considered at the top of his profession by his peers, coaches and fans, Lem Satterfield has covered High School sports, professional boxing and provided a variety of investigative and feature oriented pieces for eighteen years at the Baltimore Sun. Prior to his time with The Sun, Lem was employed by Patuxent Publishing as a High School reporter covering Howard County for the Columbia Flier and the Howard County Times on a weekly basis. Before joining Patuxent Publishing, Lem was at The Maryland Independent in Charles County, a bi-weekly broadsheet newspaper also covering high schools. Lem is a 1987 graduate of the University of Maryland, as well as a 1980 graduate of Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, MD. Lem majored in journalism at Maryland, where he wrote for the Diamondback Newspaper. A former wrestler, having finished at 18-3 as a senior, Lem was also an Eagle Scout and the second youngest of 12 children. Lem Satterfield is married, father of two.

Angela Watts

Angela Watts joined the DigitalSports team in April after spending the previous 12 years covering various high school, collegiate and professional sports for the Washington Post. Included in her responsibilities at the Post was an eight-year run covering Virginia Tech’s nationally-ranked football program. For two seasons she also co-hosted a national college football radio show, broadcast from Miami, on the Foster Sports Radio Network. Prior to joining the Post full-time in 1997, Angela worked part-time for the Roanoke Times covering everything from high school sports to minor league baseball and NASCAR. During her student days at Virginia Tech (1992-1996) she also served as the Sports Editor for three years for Virginia Tech’s award-winning student newspaper, The Collegiate Times, and worked as a stringer for the Washington Post, the Roanoke Times, the Newport News Daily Press, the Miami Herald and the Big East Football Review.

Stephen Lewis

Stephen Lewis has covered high school sports in the Richmond area for over six years, first for the Richmond Times-Dispatch and now for DigitalSports. Stephen graduated in 2004 from Virginia Union University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications while working as a full-time sports writer during his senior year. During High School, Stephen knew he wanted to be involved in sports for the rest of his life, and telling the stories of high school kids was the way to do so. Stephen played four sports in high school - basketball, football, volleyball and tennis. During his high school career, Stephen earned some sort of district recognition in three of the sports; and was a four-year starter on the varsity team , scoring over 1,000 points in his career.
