REACHING HIGER SHOWCASE A SUCCESS! Read about it here:
First MHSAA/coaches basketball clinic a success
BCAM WEEK AT SHANTY CREEK: Here is a chance for you to enjoy family time at a first class golf resort in northern Michigan at a reasonable price. Mark August 3-7 on your calendar. Bring your family, bring your buddies, spend 5 nights or spend one night, play golf on great courses for low rates or just enjoy the pools and relax. There will be a Coaches vs Cancer Golf Scramble and a BCAM Flight Championship (guests can compete). More details will be sent to you this spring.
GOLF OUTING TO HONOR MARSHALL THOMAS: Longtime Saginaw High School Basketball Coach and Athletic Director, Marshall Thomas, will be honored at a golf outing held on Saturday, June 13 at the Fortress Golf Course in Frankenmuth. Shotgun start at 10 AM with barbecue dinner to follow. $65 for golf and dinner, $20 for just dinner. Must sign up by June 1st. For more information contact Daniel “Ski” Szatkowski at
dszatkowski@spsd.net or (989)274-5582.
NEW BALANCE HAS DECIDED TO HONOR CONTRACT. New Balance will continue to be the "Shoe of BCAM". The company will honor our contract and work hard at gaining your confidence in their product. We hope to have more information soon on how to order your shoes from NB. They offer a quality and good looking product. I will let you know the process for ordering shoes in the near future.
RAWLINGS IS THE BALL OF THE 2009-2010 TOURNEY: The Rawlings basketball will be used in every MHSAA Tournament game next year. Since BCAM makes $1 on every Rawlings ball sold in Michigan, it makes sense to stock up with the Rawlings ball as you purchase equipment for next season. Click on the Rawlings Ad in the "carousel" (left side of this page) for a list of dealers with addresses and phone numbers. (Do not click on the Rawlings banner at the very top of this page). Contact the dealer in your area and order your basketballs. This is a quality ball that will help BCAM financially.
MEMBERSHIP: We ended this membership year just under 3600 members. This is fewer than last year but not bad considering the economic conditions. We remain one of the largest basketball associations in the country.
Thanks!
Tom Hursey,
Executive Director
