BCANY Mission Statement:

The Basketball Coaches Association of New York, Inc., exists to promote the sport of basketball statewide at all levels. Further it seeks to improve the quality of coaching, foster friendship and statewide interaction among basketball coaches.

BCANY is a Service Organization:

The Basketball Coaches Association of New York, Inc., is a service organization. Membership in BCANY is open to any basketball coach at any level in New York State. The Board of Directors affirms that by far the best reason for joining BCANY is to provide service to fellow coaches, players and the game of basketball in general.

BCANY Structure:

The BCANY Board of Directors consists of Boys & Girls high school coaches from each NYSPHSAA section, NYC Public, Private and Catholic schools. Also, Men's and Women's coaches at the Division I, II-III and Junior College levels. In addition it is planned to have a Boys Coach representative and Girls Coach representative from every scholastic league in the state.
