Flag Football
The NOVA "NFL" Youth Flag Football League is registering children ages 6 thru 13 years old to participate in the upcoming August 3rd thru 7th camp being held in Ashburn from 9:00am to 12 noon. This summer marks the 12th year that the NOVA Youth Flag Football League has been offering Fall League and Summer Camp programs in the Loudoun County Community. Girls Basketball Camps

Skills Plus Basketball Academy is hosting three camps this summer at Douglass Community Center. Interested persons register either via online with Parks and Rec or can call Douglass CC directly. The camps are run by Michael Turner.

- July 6-10 for girls and boys aged 7-9
- July 13-17 for girls aged 10-13
- July 20-24 for girls aged 13 and older


Also, the Loudoun Freedom girls basketball organization is hosting informal games for girls with basketball skills on Wednesday nights between June 24 and August 11 at Harper Park for the age groups listed below. Interested persons should contact Michael Turner directly at michaelturner@aol.com.
- Rising 5th grade girls:  6:30-8:00
- Rising 6th/7th grade girls: 6:30-8:00

Michael Turner is the women's Jv coach at Potomac Falls HS. He also is the director of the women's AAU basketball organization Loudoun Freedom and runs an private skills development company called Skills Plus Basketball Academy. He runs camps and clinics through an affiliation with the Dept. of Parks and Rec.


Summer Camps 2009!

DMB Sports Camp allows kids to experience sports to the max!  Enjoy a mix of sports including soccer, lacrosse, capture the flag, and basketball! For ages 6-10, camp is offered all 11 weeks of summer at the National Conference Center in Lansdowne, VA.  Each camp week includes a visit from a different professional athlete who talks about their sport, what sports they enjoyed as a child, and other interesting things about themselves. Flag Football

The NOVA "NFL" Youth Flag Football League is gearing up for its 12th Annual Flag Football Summer Camp in Ashburn, to be held June 22-26 and Aug. 3-7. Both camps will be held from 9 a.m. to noon and will feature experienced adult head coaches as instructors, along with local high school and college football players who will be assisting as camp counselors. Camp will focus on teaching participants the fundamentals of football, with sessions ending in tournament flag football games. Also included in the camp will be athletic "speed, power and agility" training performed by certified fitness instructors from Dynamic Sports Performance Inc. of Ashburn. Current and former Washington Redskins players will also stop by from time to time.

Camp is open to children ages 6-12.

APEX Summer Advanced Camp
This clinic is designed for the advanced athlete ( High School, Team, Rec Team, PREP, Pre-team or Adv. Rec). Athletes will learn routine requirements on all events, have use of the pit for new skills, participate in flexibility and conditioning as well as instructional dance training. Instructional open gym time will also be available. Athletes will bring their lunches Monday through Thursday and we will provide pizza and juice on Friday. All clinics run Monday through Friday. Athletes will be grouped by age/ability levels.

This is a great clinic for dancers, cheerleaders, martial arts students or for those who just want to refine their tumbling skills! Students will particiapte in structured workouts as well as instructional open gym. Focus will be on round offs, front/back handsprings, tucks, layouts and twisting. Students will have use of the tumble track, trampoline, air track and pit. Students bring their lunch Monday through Thursday and we will provide pizza and juice on Friday.

Wrestling

(Entering 1st-12th grade boys) The Ranger Wrestling Camp is an intensive, fast pace camp
that will challenge wrestlers both mentally and physically. Campers will be trained by current
high school wrestlers, current and former college wrestlers, and high school coaches. The camp
will cover the aspects of the following wrestling techniques: hand-fighting, neutral position,
short offense, bottom position, top position, circuit drilling and much more! Camp will meet in
