AUGUSTA, Missouri �?? Gilman's Brad Miller made a run, but a bogey on the 18th hole yesterday at Boone Valley Golf Club produced a heartbreaking loss for the 17-year old Greyhound star, who never trailed in his match with Hyun Seok Lim until the Californian sank a par putt on 486-yard 18th to claim a 1 up victory in the first round of match play in the 2007 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship.

AUGUSTA, Missouri �?? Gilman golfer Brad Miller has survived the stroke play portion of the 2007 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship and has qualified for the 64-player single elimination match play portion of the event and will begin play today, as the 36th seed, at Boone Valley Golf Club.

In search of his third consecutive Maryland State Junior Golf Championship, Gilman's Brad Miller (above), a rising senior, came up two shots short of a three-peat this week, but his two round score of 139 (five under par) was good enough to place him second in the 83rd annual edition of the state's top junior competition which was contested on Tuesday and Wednesday at Hampshire Greens Golf Course in Silver Spring.
