Making History

The Thomas Jefferson boys' and the Lake Braddock girls' soccer teams made history Saturday. The Colonials did so with a 1-0 victory over previously undefeated Osbourn Park to claim the Virginia Group AAA state title -- the schools first team championship in any sport. The Bruins' 2-1 overtime victory over Frank W. Cox in its title game marked the team's fifth state championship, tying them with West Springfield for the most titles in the event's 23-year history.
