| 2007 Shore Conference Boys Lacrosse Tournament - Rumson vs. CBA |
published: 5/16/2007 |
| There will be a new Shore Conference Boys Lacrosse Tournament champion after No. 4 seeded Rumson-Fair Haven stunned No. 1 Christian Brothers Academy, 5-3, Wednesday at CBA. Senior attack Drew Eastwood (No. 27, above celebrating a second-half goal) scored a huge goal to get the Bulldogs on the board in the second quarter while the Colts held a 2-0 lead. Eastwood struck again with 2:05 to play after CBA had cut Rumson's lead to 4-3. Steve Sutphen, Kevin Sharkey and Ryan Korn also scored for Rumson, which will face Colts Neck in Friday's final. Senior goalie Sean Lynch anchored a stellar defensive effort that kept CBA's leading scorers, Liam Thomas and Jonathan Lubas, off the scoresheet. |

| Boys Lacrosse - Toms River North vs. Monsignor Donovan - 5/3/07 |
published: 5/03/2007 |
| Toms River North's prospect of winning the 2007 Class A South division title was looking a little bleak for the first 24 minutes of the game. But that all changed on a goal late in the second quarter by Ryan O'Donnell. From there, the Mariners scored eight consecutive goals to come from behind and defeat Monsignor Donovan, 11-8, to capture the A-South championship. Matt Leone (pictured above delivering a check) had three goals, including the game-tying and game-winning tallies, while sophomore goalie Tim Wolcott came through with some clutch saves in the second half. |
