SOFTBALL CAMP

ATTENTION SOFTBALL FANS AND PLAYERS!

There is a HUGE treat coming up this Saturday, January 9 at Prince George High School.

Olympian Caitlin Lowe, and 2009 conference players of the year Megan Willis (Texas) and Paige Lowe (Oregon State) are heading up a softball camp with the Richmond Ruckus 18-and-under team.

Again, it is this Saturday from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Registration starts at 8:15 a.m. on Saturday.

The registration fee is $100 for individuals, $90 per person for a group or team of eight or $75 per person for a group or team of 15.

It’s not everyday an Olympian will be in the RIC. Come get taught by the best!

Contact Liz Slate at (804) 691-3256, or email former MLB player Allen Manning at manningat2@aol.com or Clarence Bell at Cbigbell@aol.com for more information and to sign up.

Click here to see the flyer. Please don’t miss this softballers!

I was a basketball player primarily when I was in high school. I know if one of those guys from the U.S. Olympic basketball team came in when I was in high school, I would be there. Think about it.

RECRUITING INFO

It seems like I’ve put up an announcement about this several times per year.

It’s free, it’s good, it’s Bob Foley once again bringing “The Realities of Recruiting” to Richmond-area families.

This
FREE, yes FREE, seminar provides quality information regarding the recruiting
process.

Student-athletes (freshmen to seniors), parents and coaches from the Richmond-Metro area are invited
to attend to learn the ins and outs of recruiting.

Foley has a
unique position, putting in 24 years as a college coach and going
through the recruiting process with two of his own kids as a parent.

This allows him to give parents and student-athletes a recruiting
perspective from both sides of the process.

This addition will be Thursday, January 7 at Mills Godwin High School from 7:30 p.m.-9 p.m.

Go to BobFoleyBasketball.net for more information, or contact him at (804) 968-5488.

FOOTBALL COMBINE

ASSIST Student Athletes will have its second annual football combine Saturday, January 30 at Bellmeade Community Center, 1800 Lynhaven Avenue, Richmond, VA 23224.

Registration is at 8:30 a.m., educational seminar at 9 a.m. and the drills go from 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. College coaches are scheduled to be in attendance.

Registration is $25 and includes a T-Shirt. For more info, visit assiststudentathletes.com and click on football combine 2010, or call ASSIST founder William Carter at (804) 397-3261 or email him at wcarterasa@yahoo.com.

That’s some good stuff right there, I hope you guys take advantage of this!!!

Until next time, it’s your favorite reporter, signing off…
