Week 4 Top 10 Plays
Hon. Mention — Harris 4-for-8 Rushing
In eight offensive touches, Stone Bridge senior Marcus Hughes had 140 all-purpose yards and four touchdowns Friday.

Hon. Mention — That’s Using Your Dipstick, Jimmy
Oakton junior Jimmy Boone threw three first-quarter touchdowns — to three different receivers (1, 2, 3) — to push his team past Annandale, 27-14, Friday.

No. 10 — Anderson 50-Yard TD

As time expired in the first quarter, Westfield sophomore Kendall Anderson pulls down this midfield screen pass with one hand, then darts through the entire defense for a 50-yard touchdown.

No. 9 –Angus Beef
Edison senior Angus Harper carried 22 times for 232 yards and two scores in a 48-13, road win over Wakefield. Harper’s 18-yard run, his first, saw him dance through five tackles en route to the end zone.

No. 8 –This is Sparta
Trailing West Potomac by a touchdown at halftime, the West Springfield defense dominated the final two quarters. In the second half, it yielded one first down and 25 net yards while recording five sacks. Spartan senior defensive end Reese Mullins had three sacks, a fumble recovery and a blocked punt after intermission.

No. 7 – Cavaliers Dial Long-Distance
Ngampa 55

Woodson trailed Chantilly, 14-7, with 8 minutes, 11 seconds left. But Cavalier senior Bertrand Ngampa knotted the score with this physical, 55-yard touchdown run on an option play from senior quarterback Connor Reilly.

Johnson 56
After a Chantilly three-and-out, Woodson senior James Johnson took a strongside option play 56 yards for the go-ahead touchdown, one very similar to Ngampa’s score.

No. 6 –Beiro Diving TD Catch
McLean beat Madison last week for the first time since Oct. 29, 1999. Highlander senior Riley Beiro sparked the scoring with this diving, 21-yard touchdown grab, even with a defender in the way.

No. 5 – Big Rig Keeps Rolling
Hayfield senior Rayshawn Rigans has multiple touchdowns in every game this season, the only player in the Northern Region that can make that claim. He made a fourth multi-score game a practical lock with this 59-yard, ReggieBush-honoring house call in the first quarter at Yorktown Friday.

No. 4 – Jack of All Trades
In its overtime, road win over Langley, Fairfax senior Jack Bechert blocked a punt, rushed for a score, passed for another and locked up the win with a game-sealing, overtime interception.

No. 3The LendenMANN
Washington-Lee scored 16 unanswered points in its Homecoming win over Falls Church Friday. General senior Karl Lendenmann pulled down this game-winning, 16-yard touchdown pass from junior Richard Lewis while falling out-of-bounds with just over 6 minutes remaining.

No. 2 –Picks’y Stickford  —  ONE  TWO
Lake Braddock senior defensive back Thomas Stickford entered Saturday with two interception-return touchdowns in the first three Bruin games. Against the Titans, he doubled his season totals. With an 18-yard pick-six in the third quarter and a 13-yard pick-turned-score in the fourth, Stickford has six interceptions this season, four of which turned into touchdowns.

No. 1 –Franconia Blue Line
In overtime at Westfield, Lee senior running back Idreis Augustus got the call on a two-point try, trailing by one. Though stacked up over a yard short of the end zone, Augustus willed his way for the conversion, dragging six Bulldog defenders with him to lift the Lancers to the 22-21 win. Lee is 4-0.
